There were many trials and errors and many failures before Best Energy entered the export commercialization of lead tab film. For the research on compounding for material synthesis, which started in 2011, we set up a facility in a small container, and spent about a year studying and eating in the vehicle.
As a result of these studies, we succeeded in localizing the lead tab film and CPP film used for pouch-type secondary batteries for the first time in Korea. Currently, the head office research center is established in Jisa-dong, Busan, and leads tab / CPP film performance self-test, 3D printing filament research, and new items. Excavations are underway.
Best Energy started with an initial container-level line and established a production plant in Haman, Gyeongnam in 2017. After that, in November 2020, the production plant was expanded to achieve the present shape.
As a result, Best Energy has succeeded in establishing a lead tab film production line and producing n/m2 per year. In addition, for product quality control, we have inspection equipment such as DSC thermal analyzers and thickness gauges to provide films in perfect condition.
Best Energy has entered into a family business agreement with the Busan Center of the Korea Basic Science Institute since 2017. Through this, the company's shares are divided and the responsible research personnel and cutting-edge research equipment of the Korea Basic Science Research Institute are used free of charge and are actively used for commercialization of film for secondary batteries.
